Pathway: Become a representative

CWU Reps are the backbone of our movement. It’s through the hard work and determination of our reps and the support of our members that we are able to protect our worker’s rights, fight for improved working practices and support those most in need of help. CWU reps are the link between management and staff and are key to making sure that everyone’s voice is heard.

Becoming a CWU representative is a great responsibility and also a rewarding personal development experience.

There are no specific entry requirements to becoming a representative in the CWU and there are many different positions to stand for. All you need is a passion for equality, justice and fairness and the CWU will support you to do the rest.
